North Fulton Master Gardeners Announce 23rd Annual Garden Faire
April 20, 2024 at The Grove at Wills Park, Alpharetta
New This Year, Annual Plant Sale Features Alpharetta’s Community Agriculture Program and the North Metro Atlanta Chapter of the Georgia Native Plant Society
There will be something for everyone. Vendors with garden accessories and tools, a wide variety of plants, including natives, heirloom plants and vegetable, herb and cut flower starts, and the popular “Pass-Along-Plant-Sale” featuring thousands of plants from the Master Gardeners’ own gardens. Other attractions include speakers, a Children’s Corner, the Fleatique, the popular Ask-a-Master Gardener Booth, delicious food and much more.
Admission is free. Proceeds from Garden Faire will provide scholarships and benefit community education efforts and project gardens supported by the North Fulton Master Gardeners volunteer organization. Master Gardeners will be on hand to help shoppers choose the plants that best meet their needs and answer gardening questions.

The Grove at Wills Park 175 Roswell Street, Alpharetta, GA 30009 The Grove at Wills Park is south of downtown Alpharetta, one block west of Hwy 9 just off
Old Milton Road (Hwy 120). It is readily findable on Google.

Parking/Shuttle/Plant holding service
|
There is parking right at the Alpharetta Community center, which is in front of The Grove
(175 Roswell Street). If the parking lot is full, there is overflow parking located at Amana Academy,
285 S. Main Street, Alpharetta, which is just off Roswell Street, about 3 blocks South of The Grove Parking
lot. It is readily findable with Google Maps and is marked on the map above. The City of Alpharetta will provide shuttle service from 7:30am to 3:00 pm which will travel to and from The Grove to the
overflow parking at Amana Academy. You can catch the shuttle right at the entryway to Amana Academy as well as the entryway to the Community Center. The
shuttle will run approximately every 10 - 15 minutes. Or you can walk… it’s only about 4 blocks. Please note, the Shuttle driver will take a break for lunch.
There will also be a secure Plant Holding location in the parking lot at The Grove where you can hold your plants until you can get your car and pick up your purchases.

Types of Plants for Sale |
The popular North Fulton Master Gardeners Pass-along Plant Sale will feature more than 2000 beautiful plantings suitable for sun and shade. The selection will include annuals, vegetables, groundcovers, hostas, daylilies, perennials, small shrubs and much more. Special heirloom tomatoes and peppers including hard-to-find beefsteak, cherry and paste tomatoes and peppers. New this year is a variety of dwarf tomatoes suitable for growing in pots. Also offered are favorite varieties of hybrid tomatoes, including the popular Sun Gold yellow cherry tomato.
The North Fulton Master Gardeners accept cash, debit and credit cards. The North Metro Atlanta Chapter of the Georgia Native Plant Society will have
a selection of native perennials, shrubs, vines, and trees. Approximately 2000 plants will be available for
pollinator gardens and residential landscapes. The Alpharetta Community Agriculture Program will have unique varieties of organic,
heirloom, and non-GMO plants, grown from seed at Old Rucker Farm. Approximately 5000 vegetable, herb, flower
seedlings will be available for home gardens. A few hints: Vendors, Partners and NFMG will have separate payment kiosks. Please separate your finds accordingly. Also, carts and bags will be available but limited. Many people bring their own for personal ease. |
Fleatique-Vintage and Gently-Used Garden Decor |
We all love a good thrifting opportunity! You will find something to love in
this curated shop of donated goods. Gently-used Garden items, art, household décor, and more to be
sold at this garden focused flea market. Stop for some great deals! You never know what treasures you
will find. Located in the Community Center Gym. |
Kids activities |
The ever-popular Children’s Corner will be active from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. This year, children will have a choice of planting a tomato, making a seed necklace and learning about worm composting with one of our partners. Plus there will be coloring if your child needs a relaxing moment. |
Ask-a-Master Gardener Booth |
Highly trained and experienced Master Gardeners will be on hand to provide horticultural support to all-levels
of gardeners-weekend weeders to seasoned sowers! Stop by, say hello, and have your gardening questions answered. |
